Does EngineV1 work in your car?
In four quick steps, we’ll check the sound and location – ideally whilst the car is stationary – directly in your vehicle’s browser. It takes about a minute. No data is sent to us.

Step1: Your browser
We automatically check whether your browser has everything it needs.
Step2: Test the sound
Turn the volume up a little in the car and tap the button. You should hear two short beeps.
Did you hear two sounds?
Here’s how to get the sound:
- Increase the volume via the steering wheel or the display – the browser uses the media volume.
- Check whether media playback is muted.
- If music is currently playing via Bluetooth or an app, pause it briefly.
Step3: Share your location
EngineV1 calculates revs and gear positions based on your speed. To do this, the browser needs your location – this data remains on your device.
Step4: Measure the signal
We’ll measure how frequently your location is updated for a few seconds. Please leave the page open.
